o-O-o-O this is halloween!

i asked lex what he wanted to be for halloween and he said "goofy". i thought...oh that won't be too hard to find a goofy costume. right. :P days and hours and hours later i found one on e-bay for $40. crazy....but i got it. he was so excited! he had to go on the potty and earn stickers to get to goofy. after all the work i did and after all the work he did the day arrived when the box came. i opened it up.... he put it on... and it was great!! he loved it! then halloween came. he didn't want to wear it. we went to visit the great-grandmas...and he didn't want it zipped up... i safty pinned it so he couldn't take it off. i was a mean mommy and i made him wear it. then whole time. i wasn't going to waste all that time and money just because he didn't want to wear the dumb thing. (yes i was mean to him). now the saving grace of this all was elaina's costume. my sister gave it to me...sooo..free!! and she loved it. score!! she was so cute in it. and that year was really warm. it was great! she didn't even have to wear a coat!

so cory went with us trick or treating. it's not cory's fav thing to do...but i love it. we went to our neighbor's the ballards first. even when the kids were pretty much done... we still went. they had a good time though. they just ate their candy the whole way.

all the day of halloween i was carving pumpkins. seriously...it took me all day. i carved them all out the night before and i carved, if i can remember right, about 20 pumpkins. we grew them all in our back yard. my dad helped and did 2-3 and i think cory might of done one. but they were awesome. i love carving pumpkins and halloween. so here's the pictures of some of them...

elaina and lex both love this rat we got last year for a white elephant gift. every time you go by it and make a noise it's eyes light up and it makes a really loud squeeling noise. elaina plays with it every time she goes outside and it grosses out my mom... a lot. :)

this is after trick or treating. lex could finally take his goofy off and they ate a bunch of candy.

the day after halloween my neighbor down the street put on a pumpkin toss. you bring all your left over pumpkins and stand behide a line and throw them as far as you can. elaina won the under age 5 toss (because i threw it for her and they didn't care) and i won for the adult women. :) it's a lot of fun to do and they have doughnuts and hot chocolate to drink.
