lots of firsts

this is allison's first time to church. it's sad when they're so little...she looks so cute and no one saw her because she was in her car seat with a blanket over her the whole time.


allison's first bath! she loves her baths. :) elaina took a bath with her so with all the pictures i took of her in the bathtub....none were ok to put on the internet. lol. :)



this was allison's first time out to do something fun! we went to the princess festival winterpoleooza. allison just stayed strapped to me the whole time so i didn't get any pictures of her. but we all had a great time. there was an animal show, a magic show, playgrounds, bounce houses, a bird show, princesses, rock climbing walls, lazer tag, and tons and tons more things to do. we were there all day. it was awesome!! so much fun :)



we waited in line for a good hour to do this. maybe even longer. the guy in red was a guy that was in line with us and since i couldn't go up because i had allison he was nice and took them up. they loved it! even though they were very VERY scared. lol it was a long ways up and it was a course they had to go on: swinging stairs, tight rope, ect.

elaina got her face painted. i couldn't understand why she wanted a tiger face when she could of had butterflies or a unicorn. but then she said "i look like daniel!" i was like "uhhh...what??" and she said "yeah daniel and the lions den!" lol she's so funny. she was growling at me too to show me how tough she was.

happy new year!!

new years i was up and going more. we had food at our house and then lex, elaina, and i went out to a party and danced. all of us didn't last very long. so we came home and had an early new years toast (at 9:40pm...we couldn't even wait for 10pm) then daddy and elaina went to bed. lex tried to stay up later but he didn't last very long.







allison and mommy were the only ones that made it all the way til midnight. so i took a picture right at midnight. :)

christmas 2010

christmas morning was great :) allison was 7 days old and lex and elaina got what they asked for from santa. it was nice to just sit and recover from having a baby.

Allison comes home.

we got home on dec 20th. we were excited to be home and elaina and my mom worked really hard (and lex worked "just a little bit") to make a birthday party for allison. they had decorations, a cake, and they sang to her. it was very cute and a fun way to come home.

Allison Carol Flindt arrives!!

on December 18th at about 10pm allison was born! we didn't know if it was a boy or girl. we wanted to be surprised. she came out and i got to tell everyone that it was a girl. :) she is such a good baby. very easy. she was naughty though when she first came out they put her right on me and she peed right on me. :P but after that we decided to keep her. she shares a birthday with her grandma shields and she shares her middle name with her grandma penner.





lex and elaina came the next day to see her. they didn't know yet that it was a girl. they were so excited! i wish i had a camera filming the looks on their faces when they came in, saw her, and i told them it was a girl. it was like the best christmas morning ever. :)

halloween 2010

lex wouldn't wear his mask anymore but he was ironman and elaina was a unicorn.

lex's 5th birthday!!

lex was so excited about his birthday. he's so fun to have around.



so lex wanted to have a camping birthday party. over the summer cory made a fire pit in our backyard and he also built a really cool deck. so we had his camping birthday party in our backyard.

opening presents. we played like i was camp leader and we went on a bug hunt, roasted marshmellows, ate dinner, and lots of other fun things.

10th anniversary trip 2010!!

for our 10th anniversary in october we went down to cedar city ut to the shakespeare festival and saw a couple of plays. we also went sight seeing to zions nation park, cedar breaks, and other things around. we spent a week there. it was a lot of doing whatever we felt like doing. it was nice to just be together without any kids.

this was some native american drawings we saw on the rocks. it was very cool. hundreds of years old.


this was on a drive we took. so pretty!! can you tell i'm pregnant yet? 2 more months. :)




our kids were sick while we were gone. poor guys :( thanks mom to takin care of them again.

sept 2010

first day of school!!





elaina goes to preschool once a week and then goes to joy school once a week. this is a field trip the joy school kids took to a horse stable.



this is lex's field trip to the pumpkin patch. we love it there! they have a big playground to play on too. it's so fun :)

yellowstone 2010

once again we made our way up to yellowstone. here are the highlights.

they didn't want to take a picture with me. :P can you tell i'm pregnant here? due in 3 more months. yeah i know...you can't tell.



elaina and daddy hanging out. we saw a lot of animals again and the kids were very excited to see them. the first day we were there elaina got freaked out by a buffalo that got too close for her and so she didn't get out of the car after that experiance. cory's crazy it was freezing that day!!



lex just wanted to go back to the camp ground most of the time we were there because he wanted to burn marshmellows. he doesn't want to eat them though. just burn them. he gets a whole package all to himself when we go camping. he's in heaven.

this is our last day in yellowstone checking out the gysers.

family reuion 2010

my brother joel and i were in charge of our family reuion this year. we went to california and had a great time.





we also went to the monteray bay aquarium while we were there. they don't look excited but they really were. we loved it. and yes that is elaina..... with her very short hair. the night before we left for our trip to california (a mere 22hours after she cut her pig tails off) she decided she needed her hair shorter. so she chopped off one side of her hair and all of her bangs. we left early that morning so she had to wear a hat all the way to california. no time for another hair cut. i cried and hide the sissors. she told me..."i don't want to look like a boy!!" since then no problem with cutting of hair. i don't think she'll do it again.

back to june again

lex was georgey porgey for his end of the year preformance for preschool. so we dressed him up and he passed out hershey kisses because he "kissed the girls and made them cry." he was so excited. :)

potty trained Elaina!!

elaina finally got potty trained!! so she earned her ladybug tea party.

we went to a new years eve party and danced for awhile. lex was on fire!! dancing like crazy!



after new years my dad wanted us to go take a wagon ride to see the elk. so we went up to logan ut. with my brother and his family. we used to do this a lot when i was little.

i missed my dec-march folder i had. so going back in time now...here's christmas 2009 :)

This is the end of lex's christmas preformance for his preschool. he didn't want to sing at all. and he didn't want to stand with the rest of the kids either. at the very beginning he was in the middle stand up and he came downt o give me a hug. well when i told him he needed to go back up he got sad and went to the very end and sat the rest of the time. poor lex. but he did stand up for this one. :)



ok...i've tried for about 4 hours now to upload a video of lex opening his christmas present from santa with no luck. so i'll just explain even though it's not as good. well... he opened up this remote control car he was asking for for a looong time before christmas so the build up was great! when he opened it he was so excited and then he turned it over and his face changed completely and said "this is not the red one!!!" he was so sad. and a very fruserated mom was sad too. :)

princess festival 2010

Elaina went to a princess festival and she loved it!!! we were going to be driving to california on her birthday so i took her here just a day before her birthday. notice the hair is shorter then it was. that's because she cut off her pig tails the night before. that morning at 7:00am my friend cut her hair before we went tot eh festival. thanks kari :) this was the cutest thing ever!!!



to go along with the princess festival they had a tea party so i took elaina to that a couple week before the festival. soooo freakin cute!!

well. it's been awhile since i updated. i kinda gave up on this project but i got interested in it again today when i read my friend's blog. so here ya go.... 2010 in a nutshell! :) i'll just post pictures with captions and hopefully this turns out. :)
