we had grandma and grandpa flindt come and visit us!! the kids were so excited to have them come.
when they got here we were off and running. we went to mcdonald's and played for awhile. then it was off to the pool. if you wanna win lex over...just take him swimming and he's your buddy for life. lol they had a great time. allison was so cute in her little floaty. this was her first time swimming.
that night we had dinner at our house and just hung out. it was very nice. the next day we went to golden spike. we had a great time taking uncle rick and aunt jane we decided to bring grandma and grandpa this time. it just so happened that they were having "railroad days" out there that weekend so there was a lot to do. they had a little train i guess you can call it they were giving rides on. so here's us taking a ride. :) grandma was nice and while we rode she and grandpa were sitting in the shade letting allison sleep.
while we were out there lex and elaina earned their jr. ranger badges. they earned one at yellowstone and now they have their 2nd one. they're very excited and can't wait to earn more. i think mommy might be as excited if not more about earning them then they are. lol
this is at the rocket display. elaina didn't want her picture to be taken and wouldn't stand up. next to grandma.
the boys decided it was wayyyyy too hot to get out of the car. so here they are enjoying the view from the air conditioned car.
allison hanging out with grandpa.
so this is our one and only picture with all of our family in it. i tried to get everyone to get into a nice pose...but yeah right... with a husband that hates pictures and then 3 little kids.....this is as good as it gets for us. at least everyone is looking. thanks grandma for taking it for us!! it was a nice visit. we love all of our family so much. we're very lucky to have all of them in our lives.

so long...fair well
well the cousins are now apart of the california cousins. all my brother and sister now live in california along with my parents. so on their way out my nephews spent a couple days hanging out with us. this is a video i took of bradon playing with allison. we had a good couple of days with them.
let's re-build a temple
here's some pictures i took of the ogden utah temple. it's being rebuilt because....well....it's ugly. lol i'm sure they're other reasons too. but anyway.... it was weird to see this temple all my growing up life and now it's just the bare bones. it's going to be awesome when it's done.
here's what it's going to look like after they're done. awww...so much better.

kissin cousins
well my cousin's got married. my aunt's son on my mom's side and my cousin's daughter on my dad's side married each other. and no...they aren't related so it's legal. :) they asked me to do their flowers for their wedding and i wasn't dieing to do it for them :) since most of my family couldn't be there i took lots of pictures and videos.
this is a video i made. i was trying to take a picture and then figured out it was taking a video. but you get to see what the reseption looked like.
so here's some of the cake. at the bottom of the cake i wrote in flowers K and B for kaylyn and bruce.
they had a couple dish towels made by my grandma penner, and kaylyn's mom maryanne made something, and maryanne's mom made something too. they were all so pretty. here's another picture of them just further away. and a couple of her bridal shots.

these were blankets made. the one ont he left was made for bruce by his ward and the other one kaylyn's grandma made (maryann's mom)
awww..kaylyn and maryanne.
bruce and kaylyn
linda, connie and doug. linda helped me do the flowers on the wedding cake, flowers on the tables, babysat my kids while i was in the temple, and helped me decorate their car before they left. that was so much fun being with her that night. :)
brian, angie, mckayla, thomas, and uncle roy
cory, allison's legs, elaina, lex, and aunt shirley. my kids were with me all day while i was doing the flowers. elaina loved it and so did lex. by the middle of the resception the boys left to go get something to eat. before they left lex and elaina were up on the stage "putting on a show" for everyone as they called it. dancing to the music and having a great time. i finally had to stop them when they figured out how to open the curtains.
annie and scott. they're so cute :)
tammy and lonnie. stacie was there but i didn't get her picture.
aunt darlene
allison was in heaven all day. someone was holding her nonstop. she loved getting passed from one person to the next. she was so good all day with very little sleep and little food in her tummy. she kept making the cutest faces at everyone. :)
the center pieces. you can't see them very well..but i added a little bit of fresh flowers to them.
christina and her flowers :)
mark...losing his little girl. he was pretty teary-eyed all day
they stood in the line all night and about 15 mins after the recesption was over they finally cut the cake and did everything else. here's the videos for at least the throwing of the flowers. all the other videos won't upload on here for some reason :(

time out
There are times in life when you have to sit on timeout. And there are times when mommy gets busy and forgets you're sitting on time out. And there are times when you've been forgotten on time out and you get really tired. And there are times when your mom remembers she has forgotten you and finds you sleeping, takes a picture, and shares it on a blog thinking that you're just so funny for falling asleep in a weird position. Well mom.... :P~~~~~ on you. :)
yellowstone 2011
well we went to yellowstone again this year. i love going every year. it's my fav. vacation. this year was so much fun. it's better each year because they kids get older and they understand more. it's fun to watch them learn about everything yellowstone has to offer.
this is at one of the many waterfalls in yellowstone. this is firehole falls
here's some videos i took while we were there..
this year we were earning their "jr ranger badges". you have to be 5 to earn it...so we fibbed a little and said elaina was 5 and lex was 6. they had to do a bunch of different activites and learn about how geysers work, learn about the animals, and a bunch of other things. it took us a good 2 days to earn it. and that was pushing it. but we did it. even lex earned it. i was very proud of him because it was a lot harder to get him to focus and do the work. but they both did it. :) so here are their badges. Very happy, proud, and excited lex and elaina. :)
elaina with "chee-low" strapped to her head while she slept. :)
this year since we went to yellowstone in july uncle roy and aunt darlene were there. and it just to happened that my cousin lonnie and his wife tammy and their daughter stacie were camping that weekend also. so we had a couple dinners with them and lonnie took the kids for a ride on uncle roy's golf cart. lex was in heaven because he had another dog to love.
us hanging out at our camp site roasting marshmellows.
awww..that cute baby. it was pretty cold up there so allison slept with mommy and daddy to keep warm at night.
before we went up i was talking to my neighbor and they were planing on going up to yellowstone the same weekend. she told me about a bear feeding experience the kids could do in west yellowstone. i've never heard of it before but we decided to try it out. it was so awesome for the kids. they were so excited to feed the bears. :) here's lex getting ready to hide the food with the rest of the kids.
i didn't get a good picture of elaina hiding hers. but they asked the kids to dump the whole bucket of food all at once. well...elaina didn't hear i guess and she was putting one piece of food out at a time making sure it was very well hidden. well...the lady came by and decided elaina was taking too long and dumped her whole bucket out for her. elaina was ticked at her but then decided she should leave with everyone else before the bears got put back into the cage. here's lex and elaina watching the bears come out so excited to watch them find their food.
well the bears came and found lex's food first. i wish i could get the video to upload because his face was just so much fun to watch. lol the bears couldn't find elaina's food. her food was the last one found. and believe me...mommy and daddy were ready to leave by the time the bears found hers. it was so great for the kids. something they'll remember forever.
