santa's coming to town!

merry christmas everyone!!  after being a mom of 3 i've finally realized babies just don't like santa...he's scarey.  why put them though trying to sit on santa's lap?  it's just not worth the sadness.   so ally got close...but stayed with mommy.  and she liked it that way.  lex and elaina were very excited to sit on santa's lap though.  even though i told them to ask santa for just one thing....elaina decided since the last time we saw santa (a couple weeks ago at the grocery store) she had "changed her mind" and asked him for something else.  well... santa has already done the shopping.  we'll see what happens christmas morning.  good thing santa thought ahead and got her the other thing but it'll just be from mommy and daddy instead.  lex has his mind set.  if there was any hope for a dog then he would change his mind....but since there's no chance he's getting star wars legos  :)

allison collage

these are just a bunch of random allison pictures and videos over the last month or so.  november-december  :)  enjoy.  we do everyday we are with her.

just a close up of her the day we did the video above this picture  :)
this is her "spiderman" crawl she does.  she much rather crawl like this and she very fast at it.
this was taken at the tree house museum (a childrens museum in ogden).  she stood at that mirror for a good half hour just laughing at herself.
showing off her standing skills.  she started just standing up in the middle of the floor after pulling herself up on things for 2 days.  she never walks around the furniture though.  just likes to stand around.  she could even squat down, keep her balance, and stand right back up again.  but never wanted to take any steps up til about a week and a half ago.  she much rather just stand then crawl still.

i tried a long time trying to get her to walk. she can do it. she just didn't want to do it today. :P so here's one of my failed attempts ....

thanksgiving 2011

we just had thanksgiving at our house this year.  it was a relaxing do whatever you want day.
this is lex waiting to drink his special drink and to eat his jello that he made.
                                                         mmmmm...first thanksgiving  :)

breaking dawn!!!!!!!!

ok..  so my good friend shirley got tickets for us to go see the midnight showing of breaking dawn.  oh my heck.  it was so much fun!!  i invited my friend hannah along because she's dumb like me too  :)  it......was awesome.  :)
so this is hannah and i.  and yes i'm lame and i dressed up.  lol!!  it did have make-up on to make myself look pale.  and then i sprayed glitter all over me to make me shine.  lol!!  i painted my nails glow in the dark glitter too.  hannah just did the nails.  :)
this is elizabeth (shirley's daughter) shirley's friend, and of course shirley  :)
this is all of us taking a picture with the "Voluturi" (really come ppl that work there that dressed up).  as you can tell by hannah's face she REALLY didn't want to be in the picture.  lol  so she was being goofy.  ok...so freakzode next to be trying to bite my neck made me shutter.  he was weird and freaky and held me way to tight.  makes me want to barf.  no one wanted to go stand by him...and now i know why.

other than that they had a dance contest that no one would go up and dance with me  :P  and it was just really fun.  stayed up way to late.  but totally worth it!!!  :)

it's a wonderful ward!

the kids and i did a roadshow that the stake put on.  it turned out to be a lot of fun!!  we did a parady of "it's a wonderful life".
this is us in our costumes.  lex and elaina were some of george and mary bailer's kids (there were about 24 of them lol) and they came on stage and just made a ton of noise while george came home and was trying to talk to his wife.  so lex hammered and elaina helped him fix stuff.  (lex wouldn't do the play unless he could bring his tool box and his "mr fix it" shirt.)  and i was ma bailer.  lol....   i wasn't sure how i was going to play an old woman...  but it worked out.  :)
this is where's the kids are on stage trying to be loud.  at this part george is in talking to his little son and george rips a page out of the scriptures by mistake and puts it in his pocket.  that's why there's the sign that says "no scriptures were harmed in the making of this show".  lol  you can also see allison in this one.  she played the baby.  she was so great!!  didn't cry or make any noise.  she's such a good baby.
close up of elaina and lex being loud with the other kids.
this picture is mostly for my mom.  this is george (bryan brady) talking to clifford the angel (bishop reynolds)  if you knew bishop reynolds you would laugh at this picture.... he's very low key type of guy.  so for him to be dressed 70's style with side burns..... hilarious!

this is a video of my lines.  this takes place after clifford comes and i don't remember my son...because i don't a son named george.  :)
this is the same scene where he's now talking to his wife that doesn't know him and his wife runs into me.
this is the very end song where things are good again and i get to dance along with the other cast members.  you can see ally again and elaina at the very end finally comes forward.  i have no idea where lex is...but during this scene he's always causing trouble.  i'm pretty sure it was him that yelled into the mic after we were down singing.  :P

2011 halloween!!

well this year was exciting but low key.  lex and i had been sick for weeks by halloween and he still wasn't feeling very good...i know i wasn't.  we still had a good time though.
allison getting ready to go trick or treating for the first time!!  but mommy was lame and she didn't even get any treats.  she just took some of lex and elaina's.
elaina being her pick witch.  it was cold this year so most of her costume was covered up.
lex in his darth vader costume.  he was totally into it.  i got him a blue and red lightsaber and he had to have the red one to go with darth vader.  luke has the blue one.  surprised the heck out of me!  most of the time he HAS to have blue.  he's using the force on me in this picture.

after the girls were done trick or treating we went back home and got our front porch picture we take every year.  then lex said he was ready to go out again.  lol  so i took him out to a couple more houses and came back home.
all my awesome pumpkins this year. most of the big ones i had to buy. we planted them too late. at least we got some. thanks cory!

elaina's halloween party!

elaina had her halloween party at miss kates again this year.  she wanted to be a pink witch.  She was so excited.  :)

the kids singing their halloween songs with miss kate.  elaina was excited to be a witch "just like miss kate!"
greyson and elaina playing pumpkin bowling.

down on the farm!!

elaina had her field trip to the pumpkin patch. here's some highlights.

i'm going to try to remember everyone's names:  top row- boen, grayson, kolton, ? (one of the twins), elaina, gavin, teagon, aubrey and her brother cayson.  bottom row- first 2 are the sparks kids (in our ward), paxton, meagon, miss kate with her daughter jade, lily, and the last 3 i don't know.
riding out to get elaina's pumpkin on the hay ride.  ally's so cute but my hair could use some help.
finally found one.  it took her a while to decide.
elaina and gavin.  elaina says she going to marry him.  :)  i'm not sure if he knows that.
cute little baby gets out of the baby carrier every once in a while.

we had to leave to pick up lex from school.  and of course he had to come to the pumpkin patch too.  and he had to get a pumpkin...he couldn't just play.  he's at his new school now and he's doing ok.  his teacher ms. conrad is excellent!!  very happy to be at that school.

and the party rolls on

the day after we went to chuck e cheese i took the kids to "spook-a-palooza". it's way cheep to get in and it's a ton of fun for the kids.  they had bird shows, magic show, singing groups, tons of stuff!!
there are about 15-20 blow-up playgrounds to play on.  here's lex and henry on one...elaina's behind somewhere.
this kids let elaina beat him and she was so excited.  :)
these were really cool.  you can get on them and drive around.  i had to run to keep up and get elaina not to crash.  try that with allison strapped to ya.

they got to feed some ducks and a turkey that were there.
elaina did the rock climbing!!  so did henry.  lex was a little too nervous.
but lex did the rope course!!  by himself!  we was so excited about it.
batman played with the boys while elaina got to be with the princesses dressing up and making crafts.  lex is holding up his blue balloon dog he was so excited to get.
lex wanted a rematch with henry this time.  it was a tie.  :)

lex's 6th birthday!!

lex told me years ago he wants to go to chuck e cheese for his birthday.  so i told him when he turned 6 he could.  well...  he didn't forget....so we went!  :)  it was so much fun watching the look on his face.  he was having the time of his life.

lex wanted to invite Sister Thomsom his primary teacher, ms baird his kindergarten teacher (who we just switched schools because she was a terrible teacher), and kendall "my best friend" who is 14.  :)   kendall couldn't come but took him out to eat and play at a playplace.  so "it was ok that kendall couldn't come".  :)  kendall is awesome.  i talked him into maybe inviting some of his other friends.  lol     so elaina got to go, and henry stayed the weekend with us so he could come too, aubrey our next door neighbor, and christina who is in lex's new kindergarten class and is also in our ward.
eating some cake after dancing with chuck e cheese and doing the ticket blaster.  i took a video of all of that but they are too long to put on here.  :(
playing one of the games.  lex got a ton of tickets!!  he really wanted a really big bouncey ball but he was about 500 tickets short.  (it was 1000 tickets)  but our party host gave it to him anyways.  :)  he sleeps with it every night in his bed.
allison and daddy came too.  but they couldn't sit with the kids.  :)

i'm bringing home my baby bumble bee

while we were watching my friend hannah's race elaina had a run in with a wasp.  poor girl  :(  right on the side of her eye.

arrrrgh!!! yo ho ho and a bunch of flowers!

i got to do a wedding i was dieing to do because it was a pirate themed wedding.  so much fun!!!  my neighbor's brother was getting married and i pretty much begged them to do it.
this was outside the logan temple.  just a close up of the bridal bouquet.  if you look really close you can see there's sea shells in there.  and just for my mom the name of the flowers (your welcome mom....not all spelled right though)  :)  orange asiatic lilies, blue delphenium, purple orcids, yellow alstromeria, greens: seeded euqualiptis, big varigated leaves, and italian rustus.

i didn't see them come out because they were taking their time and i was in a hurry.  i had to go set up the luncheon room before everyone got there.
the lunch was held at a really nice resturant in logan.  when you come up the stairs this is what you saw first.

there were about 7-8 very long tables i had to decorate.  this was a little tricky because i only knew i needed to decorate them 2 days before.  crazyness  :P  so they all had greens and then seashells and then gold coins sprinkled on top.  the pictures don't do it justice.
the head table (dumb me i didn't take a picture of it  :P  i ran out of time.)  had 3 arrangements on it on top of the greens.
this was the middle arrangement.  i freakin love these!!!  by far my fav. flowers arrangements i've ever done.  in the middle of the flowers are spanish moss, green moss, yellow moss, seashells, and gold coins.
this is a side view of the middle arrangement.  it's in a treasure chest.  so cool.
close up of the coins, moss, and shells of the middle arrangement.  i know this is over kill but i know my mom would love to see all of this.

this is one of the two longer side arrangements on the head table.  this picture is from the reception where we just put them on the window sills.  the other arrangement is just like this one but flip-flopped the flowers.

close up picture of longer arrangement.

picture from the other side so you can see the lilies.  and these things were so dang heavy!!  i had to move them 6 times.  to the car, out the car,in the cooler, out, up the stairs, down, in the recepetion......  and i had to move each one by themselves and then all my other stuff too.  it was a workout that day.
oh by the way...this is brook and tom...  they got married...anyways back to the flowers.  :)
one of the bridesmaids.  there were 7 of them.  and 8 groomsmen.  and yes they all had flowers.  the bouts. and cours. turn out really nice.  i'm sorry i didn't get a picture of them.
she didn't want the steams wrapped with ribbon or anything so i came up with wrapping them in the big green leaf.  it looked really cool and different.
these are the food table.  i didn't know how the food was going to be set up so i kinda felt bad because i used all their food table space.  oh well.  it looked pretty.  :)

this is an arragement i did and just below it is where they stood in line to greet everyone.  i wish i had a brtter picture of it.  it's a tall arrangement on top of a vase.  the whole arrangement stood 3 feet tall at least.  that window was so big!!  in the vase there was seashells, spanish moss, and green moss.  but you can kind of see the greens hanging down from the bottom of the window.  it looked really pretty.  i wish i got a better picture.
this was the table's.  turned out cool.  and the cake you say??  no flowers on it.  so no picture  :(    i did spanish moss on the railings too...again no picture of that.
