in the wild outdoors

we decided to go camping!! i was busy with first day of school, 3 weddings, scouts, and on..and on... so i didn't find a place for us to go camping and everything was reserved. 2 ppl told us about a mirror lake that was really nice to go camping at. so we headed up there. we got there and found a great walk-in spot. man.... it was great!!!

before we got up there we bought some farming toys for the kids to play with. the whole weekend they were working on their "farm" the built a house and plowed the fields. and fixed the fences so the werewolf (elaina's idea) wouldn't get out. but lex made sure he got out a lot and he would destroy everything. then they would work hard again to plow, fix, and mend. alllllll weekend. :)

we camped on a lake that was a lot smaller the next campground over from mirror lake.  but this picture was on mirror lake.  lex and elaina wanted to go swimming so badly.  but it was FREEZING cold!!!  ppl were giving us really weird looks.  everyone else there was fishing.

there were a bunch of waterfalls we stopped at.  it was worth stopping!!  so coo and the kids loved climbing on the rocks by the waterfall.

this was taking the last night we were there.  daddy and elaina walked around the first time with us and some nice guys let them fish and then let the fish go.  they even gave us some fish to eat....but we ended up throwing them away (nothing to cook with...no knifes).  lex really wanted to go on another "adventure" so allison and i went with him.
